UNMANNED AND AUTONOMOUS: AIR, LAND AND SEA

With full autonomous driving on the horizon, commercial and consumer drivers already benefit from advanced AI-supported driver assistance capabilities. Air delivery of packages is in beta applications in parts of the United States. In France, autonomous buses already are in utilization for public transportation over defined routes. For military and border security, unmanned aircraft are essential tools in supporting US national and homeland security interests. Central to the evolving era of unmanned and autonomous are technologies of AI, advanced analytics, computing power and most certainly security. Policy frameworks governing the expanding adoption and utilization of next generation transportation systems, as well as the technologies themselves, constitute the focus of this timely and important EDGESeries program. Experts from NASA, FAA and Europe are anticipated participants.
