Mar. 28, 2019 (VIENNA, Va.) – The Government Business Executive Forum announced today Dr. Barry West and Chrissie Coon as Co-Chairs for its flagship conference, CES Government, held in partnership with CES annually. CES Government 2020 will be take place January 9-11, 2020 at Park MGM, Las Vegas, NV and 2020 marks CES Government’s 15thanniversary.
CES Governmentis the premier annual government technology conference held in partnership with the world’s most prestigious technology trade show: CES. 180,000 technology professionals from more than 160 countries participate in CES – from these, 400 are invited to participate in CES Government.
Dr. Barry West is Chief Executive Officer of West Wing Advisors. He is one of the most recognized names in U.S. government technology, having served as Chief Information Officer for the Department of Commerce, FEMA, National Weather Service, FDIC and others in his nearly 30-year career in technology management. He has held senior positions in industry as well, most recently to include President of Microtech before launching West Wing Advisors earlier this year. Dr. West has attended and participated in the planning of all 14 CES Government conferences.
Chrissie Coon is President of Upson Technology Group and Co-Chair of the Government Business Executive Forum. She is recognized nationally for her public relations and marketing skills, especially as applied to public safety technology. She is a former senior marketing professional for the Nation’s largest emergency communications network – FirstNet – and is a 15-year veteran of the North Las Vegas Police Department. At FirstNet, Ms. Coon orchestrated FirstNet’s participation in CES and CES Government the past three years. “From my work at FirstNet, I know firsthand the value of CES Government. I am delighted to join Dr. West as co-chair for the conference’s 15thanniversary.”

CES Government continues to sell out each year. Registration will open in early July, is primarily by invitation and limited to 400 executive level and high-ranking attendees. Executive roundtables, plenary sessions, keynotes and other activities will focus on emerging technologies that touch local, state and federal government in areas of artificial intelligence, cyber security, IoT, smart government, big data, Iaas, Saas, and cloud applications especially as applied to defense, intelligence, healthcare and law enforcement missions.
