Michael. Callihan is president of AEGIS.net, Inc., an information technology services firm specializing in software testing, independent verification and validation (IV&V), and agile software development. AEGIS has developed a specialized testing environment for health information exchange interoperability and standards conformance. AEGIS has been recognized by Garter as a 2016 Cool Vendor; by the CMMI Institute as the 2016 Capability Challenge Champion, and by FedHealthIT as the Overall Winner of their2016 Innovation Awards. Mr. Callihan has more than two decades of experience in software engineering and business consulting. His expertise is in application architecture and helping customers develop best practices in enterprise software development. Mr. Callihan has worked with large government organizations including more than 14 years with the US Army, and many large corporations – HP, Time Warner, and various health care systems. His experience includes software engineering, team mentorship, technical training, and project management. He serves as co-chair of the ACT-IAC IV&V Committee and was most recently a panelist and speaker at the 2016 Capability Counts conference hosted by the CMMI Institute. Mr. Callihan is a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a certified Lean Six Sigma Sensei (LSSS). He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with degrees in Information and Decision Systems and Industrial Management. Michael.
